ABOUT THE NRI CONFERENCE

The NRI Conference has been ongoing since 1990. It provides a national forum for mental health services researchers to share their work with colleagues. Topics are varied from year to year. The most recently completed Conference was held April 14-16, 2009. The topic was focused on Integrated Health Care: Physical and Behavioral Health Services and Systems. Approximately 200 people attended the 2009 Conference consisting of practitioners, consumers, mental health directors, physicians, social workers, consumers, and researchers.

NRI continues to seek out input from researchers in the public mental health system to select a currently relevant topic to focus on for future Conferences and other educational opportunities. With the demands of the state budget challenges, NRI is researching ways to effectively develop educational opportunities and offer new avenues to share research with one another. If you have suggestions for 2010 educational opportunities and/or Conference ideas, please feel free to email Michael Lane, Conference Manager. Please check back with us in the fall of 2009 for more information about upcoming 2010 educational and conference activities.
