The President's New Freedom Commission emphasizes "building a system that is evidence-based." This creates an opportunity for researchers to expand the science-to-service agenda, develop new best practices, and enhance current model-programs.
Using this Site
This site is unique in that it provides researchers with information on current initiatives related to EBPs that are occurring in the United States. This information allows researchers to identify gaps in services and target specific populations to develop programs and practices that reach these under-served populations.
Information and resources provided throughout this site are designed to educate researchers about:
- Definitions of evidence-based practices
- Issues surrounding the implementation of evidence-based practices
- Specific evidence-based practices available for children, adults, and older adults
- Current state of evidence-based practice implementation activities
What Researchers Can Do
Researchers can use the information provided on this site to partner with provider agencies; policy makers at the local, state, and federal levels to guide EBP implementation to ensure that consumers are offered teh highest quality of mental health care. You can also help develop a research agenda for the efficient and effective implementation of evidence-based practices.
