DIG Annual Meeting: Reports
2010 National Data Infrastructure Grant (DIG) Meeting Reports
The 2010 National Mental Health Data Infrastructure Grant Meeting was held June 23-25th 2010, immediately following the National Mental Health Block Grant and Data Conference at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C. This was the third year we've held a poster session that allows states to showcase their work; we had our biggest turnout yet with 14 states presenting 19 posters. A team of judges reviewed the poster submissions and recognized the outstanding effort states put forth in their poster submissions. This year we had a solo first-place winner, and a three-way tie for second. This year's winners are:
- First Place:
- Vermont: Employment of Adults with Serious Mental Illness in Vermont. Presented by John Pandiani, Ph.D., Barbara Carroll, Ph.D., and Walter Ochs.
- Second Place:
- Illinois: Tools of the Trade: Dashboards for Decision Support. Presented by Dorothy Elfring, M.P.H., and Mary Smith, Ph.D.
- Maine: Examining Relationships between Mental Health and Physical Health: An Integrated Analysis of the Maine BRFSS. Presented by: Jay Yoe, Ph.D., Elsie Freeman, M.D., M.P.H., Karen Glew, M.P.S.A., and Dina Blanchard.
- Oklahoma: Using Data to Justify Effective Services when Budgets Fall: Mental Health Court Outcomes. Presented by: David Wright, Ph.D., Nancy Warren, Steve Davis, Ph.D., and Tracy Leeper.
We would like to extend a special thank you to all of those who participated in the poster session, as well as the DIG Annual Meeting, for making this year's conference a great success.
