The patient satisfaction survey entitled the NRI Inpatient Consumer Survey (ICS) is a tool available to inpatient psychiatric facilities.

The ICS was endorsed by the National Quality Forum in 2010 as "Best in Class" for quality improvement

28 item questionnaire completed by clients at discharge and/or at annual review.

The ICS includes six domains of client perception:

Outcome of care

Dignity

Rights

Participation in treatment

Facility environment

Empowerment

The Inpatient Consumer Survey instrument and directions are free for use by inpatient psychiatric facilities. Please review the survey use guidelines.
