NRI Partners with Essential Learning
11/20/2007
NRI has selected Essential Learning as the exclusive e-learning partner to develop interactive online courses from NRI conference content. E-learning will be a new tool to facilitate the application of research findings to management of state mental health programs. Videos of select NRI Conferences and meeting will be available on-line for those individuals unable to travel. As an added feature, continuing education credits (CEUs) are now available. To access the site, please go to http://www.cequick.com/nri.
Essential Learning, the largest provider of e-learning services in the behavioral health and human services industry, will work with NRI to develop select course content from NRI´s network of knowledgeable State Mental Health Agency (SMHA) officials, industry experts and academics in specialized areas of mental health policy and programs, the executive staff of 230 state psychiatric hospitals, and national organizations representing consumers and their families.
"The opportunity for state mental health agency staff to access the NRI´s most important events represents an unprecedented resource to improve the management and quality of care throughout the public mental health system. With decreasing state dollars for travel, tuition, and related costs associated with transporting staff to an event, managers and direct care providers can now "attend" critical professional development venues. Availing ourselves of this technology will exponentially propel the NRI and states into new, exciting, and effective modes of acquiring learning and ultimately applying for improvement of patient care." - Dr. Noel A. Mazade, Executive Director of NRI
Online courses developed by Essential Learning and NRI will be available through a new e-learning training site developed for NRI by Essential Learning. Courses will also be available on Essential Learning´s network of training sites with leading national and state trade associations and more than 300 behavioral health and human service organizations that use Essential Learning´s organizational learning management system.
