This report focuses on State behavioral health initiatives to address the diversity and cultural competence of the behavioral health workforce.
76% of responding states conduct needs assessments to guide cultural competency requirements and training and 62% of states report using community demographic data to guide recruitment of a behavioral health workforce that is representative of the local communities they serve.
